Beardless and the Good Ol’ days
Well, as you can see I made the plunge and shaved off the beard. I’m tired of trying to hide behind it…the beard doesn’t make the man. I started growing the beard when I was 18, of course it wasn’t anything to write home about. I manifested it’s self in many different forms in the years after that, but I always seem to gravitate towards the classic goatee…without a license even.(side note: in the eighteen hundreds you need a license to have a one.)It’s been a good day so far. Reminiscing about the good ol’ days. Got Mr. Waits playing on the hi-fi (check out the video above), and I got an e-mail from a great friend that I haven’t seen in ages, Dan Chelotti, who just informed me he is now a published poet. Hopefully I’ll get my hands on this book of his and be able to share a bit of it…if permission is granted of course. I also got an e-mail from Kevin Eldridge, another good friend that I haven’t seen in quite a while. He also has a blog, which is very funny and centered on all things goofy. I added it to the links, so check it out.The fatigue is good today. It’s strange how it comes and goes. I guess I’ll have more of it to look forward to..better get some movies lined up to kill time.Well, I think I’m going to go build a bird feeder. Yeah, a bird feeder. I know it’s dorky but there’s something about birds that I love, and it gives me a chance to practice my woodworking skills….hopefully someday I’ll be able to build some wicked pissa’ furniture. That’s it for now. Gotta clean the fish tank and get to that feeder.

hey man. i’m glad that you started this blog. i think this makes the first time that i’ve ever seen you without some form of beard, and i have to say that it works. good call on the waits. oh, and if you’re looking for a weird woodworking hobby, you can always build hot air balloons out of shopping bags, birthday candles, and balsa wood. just a thought. hi to melissa.
